Solid Material Handling
Bulk solid and powder testing is critical to ensure reliable handling and processing of materials. Accurate material characterization such as; flow property, segregation, conveying behavior, particle size, shape & density, aeration capability, and caking properties is essential for equipment and system design. At our fully equipped laboratory, we conduct; bulk material flow & particle properties tests, pneumatic conveying tests, and fluidization tests. Some of our most common tests are seen below:
- Particle Properties: Particle size, true density, and bulk density.
- Segregation: Separation tendencies of mixtures or particles.

Flow Properties: Powder flowability data generated is used for the material handling equipment design.
- Pneumatic Conveying: Minimum conveying velocity.
- Powder Fluidization: Material’s ability to fully aerate and flow like a liquid.
- Powder Caking: Agglomerating, lumping, and/or clumping behavior of powder.
